تحكي قصة مسلسل الحب لا يفهم من الكلام قصة عشق البطلين "حياة" و "مراد" بطريقةٍ كوميديّةٍ طريفة، حيث إن "حياة" فتاةٌ قرويّةٌ قَدِمَت إلى اسطنبول من أحد القرى الريفيّة لإكمال دراستها ثم البحث عن فرصة عملٍ مناسبة، بينما "مراد" شابٌ غنيٌ مسؤولٌ عن شركة والده المتخصصة في الأزياء والتصاميم والموضة، تبدأ أحداث المسلسل بقدوم والدة "حياة" إلى اسطنبول للاطمئنان على ابنتها والتأكد أن أمورها تسير على ما يرام، وتتفاجأ بأن ابنتها ما زالت تبحث عن عملٍ بدون جدوى فتحاول إعادتها للقرية، بينما تحاول "حياة" الحصول على وظيفةٍ بأسرع وقت لكي تبقى في اسطنبول، تتقدم ""حياة" لوظيفتين في أمل الحصول على إحداهما وفي الصباح تسرع في البحث عن تكسي للوصول للمقابلة، وللصدفة تكون سيارة " مراد" معطلة ويكون الآخر راكبًا تكسي فتطلب منه التخلي عنه لها ومساعدتها لتصل في موعدها، وبذلك يحدث أول لقاء بين البطلين. وتظهر حبكة قصة مسلسل الحب لا يفهم من الكلام عندما تتأخر "حياة" عن المقابلة الأولى فتتجه للثانية، وعند وصولها تتفاجأ بفتاةٍ أخرى تتقدم للوظيفة ومن الواضح أنه موصى بها وأنها من طرف أحدٍ من أصحاب الشركة، ولسببٍ ما تغضب الفتاة وتلقي أوراقها وسيرتها الذاتية أرضًا وتغادر الشركة، وعن طيب نية تعطي "حياة" أوراق هذه الفتاة للسكرتيرة، ويحصل سوء فهم بحيث تظن السكرتيرة أن "حياة" صاحبة الأوراق وتدخلها لمقابلة مدير الشركة "مراد" الذي التقته صباحًا وتصادما عند سيارة الأجرة، ثم تتوالى أحداث قصة مسلسل الحب لا يفهم من الكلام بانتحال "حياة" لشخصية الفتاة الأخرى الغنيّة بدون قصد وهي تحاول أن تخرج من الورطة والكذبة التي أوقعت نفسها بها، بالإضافة إلى أن "مراد" يقع في حبها وهو لا يعرف حقيقتها.
